Wheels, Buttons, Birds

Mike is still recovering from his sinus surgery. He is doing really well and healing up but he still has to take it easy. This weekend we bought Mario Kart for the Wii and we have had a lot of fun playing. It is the only game I have any patience and ability in so it is fun to play with Mike.

Mike made us some Wii Miis that we play with.

I went fabric shopping and bought a pile of buttons just because... they were on sale and because I love buttons. I like to dump them out and organize them by color, my cats think it is great fun.

Their is a young family of "black phoebes". They are usually solitary birds that eat flying insects. You can generally recognize their call and recognize them from a distance because of their crazy flying antics when catching bugs. They are also the photographer's friend because they love perches that are up and clear of brush and are so busy watching for bugs they don't notice me too much. There is a young group of Phoebes in the neighbor's yard. They are fun to watch practicing being grown up birds. Random pictures, but all from what has turned out to be a pleasant and quiet memorial day weekend.
